My worst spanking was the most embarrassing experience of my life. I was twelve and I'd posted some really offensive stuff about a teacher on the Internet, and me and my parents were in this teacher's office while she told them what had happened. My dad asked her what she thought my punishment should be, and she said, "A spanking." So my parents gave her permission to spank me, and she did! She made me pull down my pants and underwear and took me over her lap like a baby and proceeded to spank my bare bottom really hard with a metal ruler. Let me tell you, I learned my lesson and could never quite look her in the eye after that. But I am thankful she didn't tell the principal what I'd done.

It's interesting how the overall general attitude towards corporal punishment has changed as recently as the last ¼ century or so. I was spanked frequently as a child. It's hard for me to pick out my "one worst spanking" because both of my parents were very strict. Old school, very religious, etc. A typical spanking from my dad was 20 or so swats with a leather belt across my bare butt, more if I tried to move or get away. Mom's weren't much better. By today's standards that would be considered abusive, but in the 70's getting spanked was just a fact of life. If I had told one of my teachers, or the police, or anyone else they would have said "Good, sounds like you deserved it."

The one time my father spanked me. I was in the back bedroom at 6 and he was in the kitchen drunk. I was changing clothes and I realized I had left the pajama bottoms in the bathroom.
