He refuses to eat any meat at all. I have asked the doctor and he said just feed him whatever he wants to eat. I dont think that is right.

Yea, dont start with the food battles at this age. Everyone wants to be better parents than thier own parents. Make sure they get some kind of protein, carbs, fiber and dairy......Watch in 10 years or so you'll be saying something like "is that all you eat but burgers and fries" dont start now or you will never be happy and your kid will have all kinds of stupid ideas about food......let then eat what they want to,,,watch the sugar and keep them active.....

The main thing in meat is protein - so if you can't get your child to eat meat - maybe some kind of soy would be good?
My son hated meat too. He would chew it and chew it until it was paste and then hold it in his mouth for ever. Never wanted to eat it. now he is 9 and likes it. So your son may have a change in taste.
What about having it as an added part of a meal like mixing it into a veggie and pasta dish. Something where it is all mixed up so hard to just not eat it.
Good luck with it.

I will have to agree with the doctor. Give the child what they want to eat, but when at the table, tell them they must at least taste it. Then if they like it, they can have more, if not , then spit it in the trash. It has worked for me twice.
Good Luck:)

Listen to the doctor. The worst thing to do is make food a battle. Try eggs, beans, yogurt for protein.
